BACKGROUND AND JOB DESCRIPTION

BioInfoRx is seeking a part-time experienced biostatistician to assist in the development of novel web-based microarray data analysis systems. This position is located in Madison, WI, USA. Work schedule and location can be flexible. Senior graduate students in biostatistics or closely related fields are encouraged to apply. Compensation rate will be negotiable.

We have recently released EzArray (http://ezarray.com/), which is a web-based Affymetrix expression array data management and analysis system for researchers who need to organize microarray data efficiently and get data analyzed instantly. EzArray is a novel microarray data analysis and sharing system. It represents the most autonomous Affymetrix expression array data analysis system currently available. Here we plan to further improve EzArray and extend it to support other microarray platforms including Agilent, NimbleGen, and custom produced spotted cDNA arrays. We also plan to enhance EzArray with new biostatistics algorithms such as EBArrays, GOSim, Ringo, Codelink, CoXpress, BNArray, and many more. In order to make EzArray available for as many researchers as possible, we are in the process of establishing an industrial-strength, reliable EzArray server.
