Keep your data safe and handy

mLIMS is truly cloud-based, you can start instantly, access your data anywhere any time, no IT headaches, no maintenance, and your data are permanently and securely stored.

Improve efficiency, reduce cost

The powerful tools within mLIMS help you to streamline your animal research; daily operation is simple and fast, real-time statistics help reduce number of cages and animals; reminders prevent missing important animal tasks. Click here to see how mLIMS can help you save $10,000+ per year.

Here are some examples from real mLIMS users:

Case Study 1: Extra Rack

"We have mice in two separate animal facilities. We didn't realize that we had a full rack of animals not being used until we received a big bill from the animal facility. Now that we have started mLIMS, we know in real-time how many cages we have and where they are, and we never have to pay for unnecessary cages."

Case Study 2: Empty Cage

"A technician forgot to discard a cage after the animals had been transferred to other cages. We got billed five times for that empty cage before we discovered and discarded that cage. Now with mLIMS, we can see warnings for empty cages right at the home screen, and we will never get billed for empty cages again."

Here is how mLIMS can save your lab $10,000+ a year. Essentially, mLIMS helps your lab eliminate the following costs:

  • One computer with backup for software installation and data management, ~$1000.
  • Extra time working on paper or Excel spreadsheet. At 2 hours saving per week per person, a lab with three animal technicians can save 300 hours a year, or ~$3000.
  • Cages wasted due to inefficient or non real-time information management. If on average three cages were reduced, savings for annual animal care cost is about $365*3=$1095.
  • Time and money wasted to re-generate animal colony and data when someone leaves the lab. On average $500-$5000.

Testimonials

"...there are very few programs available like mLIMS, and these other few are either too complicated or simple..."

Haluk Yuzugullu, PhD,

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University

"We have been using mLIMS for over a year and are very pleased with our choice. The user-friendly features of this software program have been especially helpful in the transition from our old mouse colony maintenance system. Also, the customer service from BioInfoRx has been excellent!"

Chan Bouribon

Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute, Northwestern University School of Medicine

"We have more than three transgenic mice colonies in our lab. We had a hard time managing each colony well. It is a challenge for us to consistently record data. In the last 5 months, we have been using mLIMS mouse colony software. It is very easy to enter and display mice data. The developer responded very promptly to resolve our questions. I love to use it every day. Thank you for mLIMS; my colonies are secure."

Sung-Hyeok Hong, DVM, PhD,

Georgetown University

"I tried different colony management software and it was extremely difficult to manage. I am very happy with the services from mLIMS and the customer service."

Cassandra Roeske,

University of Ottawa Heart Institute

"BioInfoRx mLIMS is simply the best mouse colony management program that we have ever used. It has a simple structure and intuitive interface that are in accordance with real environments in a research laboratory. It is also cloud based, and provides easy access and team collaboration. While there are still more features to expect, I believe mLIMS has the potential to become the best program of its type on the market."

Yuhang Zhang, PhD,

University of Cincinnati

"As our lab and animal colony grew, it became clear we needed to get organized and mobile, with users at multiple sites. mLIMS has an easy user interface, great on-the-go updating ability, and helpful output in the form of printable cage cards and facility maps. Most importantly, Derrick at mLIMS has helped us so much - from entering and importing data to tweaking the database to best fit our needs. mLIMS is a great organizational and time-saving tool!"
